Visual Basic Editor

The Visual Basic Editor screen is the most important screen for writing VBA code in Excel.

The below image shows the basic layout of the visual basic editor screen:

How to Access Visual Basic Editor Screen in Excel 2013:
1. Click File at the top left of the screen

2. Click Options

3. Click Customize Ribbon

4. Check Developer

5. You now have the Developer tab in the Excel ribbon pictured below. Press View Code, or Alt+F11, to access the Visual Basic Editor Screen.

How to Access Visual Basic Editor Screen in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010:
1. Click File
2. Click Options.
3. Under Popular Tab, Check Show Developer Tab in the Ribbon:

4. You now have the Developer tab in the Excel ribbon pictured below. Press View Code, or Alt+F5, to access the Visual Basic Editor Screen.
